Teamwork & Industry Projects
The MMB program includes industry projects that provide an opportunity to collaborate with various companies and gain applicable skills. These are teamwork projects I have completed within the program.
In this teamwork project, we each performed a KOL outreach project that lasted several weeks. Our goal was to determine the market size of different segments of CDMO markets.
Fall 2021 industry project with Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies
This teamwork project was performed in collaboration with the Comparative Medicine Institute (CMI) at NC State University. The project focused on researching the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines and how they compare against natural immunity.

Galaxy Diagnostics is medical diagnostics company located in RTP. They specialize in flea & tickborne disease testing. In this project, my team and I performed a voice of the customer (VOC) outreach, market analysis, SWOT analysis, and identified new customer segments to learn more about the competitive landscape of the medical diagnostic industry.
Spring 2022 Industry project with Galaxy Diagnostics
My team and I worked with professors and the Office of Research Commercialization (ORC) to determine the market potential of intellectual property.

Fall 2022 Industry Practicum Project with Novozymes.
My industry practicum project with Novozymes provided the opportunity for my team and I to find new markets for the company to enter. We performed an analysis of the market and identified 10 new possible markets segments the company could expand into. Next we did a deep dive into these ten market segments to understand the technical feasibility, regulatory requirements, and market needs by talking to key opinion leaders and potential customers and reviewing scientific literature market reports.
This project involved researching current methods and treatments for pneumonia in humans and swine to evaluate the market need and the optimal delivery method for a novel pneumonia therapeutic agent.
